ALISON BRYSK is the Mellichamp Professor of Global Governance and the Chair the Department of Global Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board at the GSJ journal.

Professor Brysk has authored or edited 10 books on international human rights (see the Research Page). Professor Brysk has been a scholar and lecturer in Argentina, Australia, Ecuador, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Japan, and has held Fulbright Fellowships in India and Canada (see her c.v.). She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on human rights, international relations, civil society, and Latin American politics (see Teaching).
